Tourist Port of Marina di Olbia

Located just 6 km away from Lido del Faro, along the SS125 road towards the Olbiamare shopping center, you will find Marina di Olbia (MOYS), a tourist port that has been active since May 2009 and can accommodate up to 270 yacht berths up to 80 meters long. It is an ideal place for those who love jogging or walking.

The marina is quite spacious and enjoys a beautiful view of the Gulf of Olbia.

The pier runs along the coast, skirting the Island of Cavallo, one of the islands of the Gulf of Olbia, which is right in front of it.

From the marina, you can admire the gulf and the city skyline and watch ships arrive at the port.

Walks

Seafront Promenade of Olbia

By traveling just 9 km along the SS125 road towards the center of Olbia, you will reach the new Seafront Promenade of Olbia, named after Francesco Cossiga (an italian President bon in Sardinia), which was inaugurated in May 2021. The promenade is one of the tourist attractions of the city, where you can take a pleasant walk looking at the sea, while walking towards the city center. It also offers recreation and outdoor sports, as well as numerous places where it is possible to admire the landscape of the city overlooking the gulf.

Capoceraso Excursions

Among the various hiking opportunities on our island, we can certainly include the trail network in Olbia. More recent and perhaps less known than other areas, it still offers interesting and not too challenging paths.

One of the most scenic trails is the one that  goes  to the small fortress of Capo Ceraso, a watch station perfectly camouflaged among the granite rocks of the area, built during World War II.

The trail is very easy and the round trip is just over 1 km. To reach the fortress and the lookout, the trail goes through the Mediterranean vegetation and the granite rocks of Gallura for a total of 100 meters. Near the now-abandoned structure, there is a beautiful granite

staircase that leads to the top, where the view is absolutely breathtaking. Spanning from Capo Coda Cavallo to Capo Figari, the island of Molara and the beautiful island of Tavolara, to the north the Gulf of Olbia and the many islets along the coast of Capo Ceraso.

The starting point for the hike is less than 12 km from Lido del Faro: simply take the SS 125 to Murta Maria, at the roundabout take Viale Porto Istana to the left, and continue on Via Funtana Umbrina, following the signs for Capo Ceraso and passing the Li Cuncheddi Resort.

On the Hello Olbia website, you can find all the trail information.
